The first project: The Bukomero Water Faucet. July, 2007
Funding for this project was recently sent and the work is underway. This water faucet will provide a local resource of clean water for a community of roughly 250 people. Normally these families gather 3-5 jugs (5 gallons) of water a day.
Their nearest water sources were approximately 1/2 mile in either direction. Waiting for water can take up to 3 hours.
This water faucet will employ one or more individuals and give this area access to clean water. Time now free from waiting for water will be put to community focused projects.
